INDEPENDENT POWER SYSTEM ENGINEERING
Independent engineering consultancy specialising in power system studies, grid stability, renewable integration and advanced power electronics.
01 / ABOUT US
Power Grid Experts is an independent engineering consultancy focused on power system analysis, grid stability and the integration of advanced power technologies.
Our engineering team brings more than 20 years of experience across the power industry, with expertise spanning power system studies, power electronics, renewable energy integration and grid stability.
We provide technically rigorous and vendor-neutral engineering support to utilities, developers, EPC contractors and power technology providers.
02 / EXPERTISE
From conventional system analysis to inverter-dominated grids and advanced converter technologies.
Detailed studies supporting planning, operation and technical decision-making across modern power networks.
Technical assessment of renewable and inverter-based resources for secure and compliant grid connection.
Advanced time-domain simulation for detailed analysis of complex interactions and fast electromagnetic phenomena.
Engineering insight into converter-based technologies and their interaction with the wider power system.
03 / SERVICES & DELIVERABLES
Each engagement is scoped to the study objective, with clear inputs, modelling assumptions and an actionable technical report.
04 / TOOLS & STANDARDS
Studies are performed against the standards, grid codes and connection requirements applicable to each project. Software and standards are used as engineering tools — our advice remains independent and vendor-neutral.
05 / OUR APPROACH
A structured engineering process designed to turn complex system behavior into practical, defensible decisions.
Define project requirements, grid conditions, operating scenarios and applicable standards.
Develop, review or validate appropriate RMS and EMT models for the study objective.
Perform detailed simulations and assess system performance under relevant operating conditions.
Cross-check results, review model consistency and identify technical gaps or sensitivities.
Deliver practical, technically sound recommendations focused on project implementation.
06 / WHY POWER GRID EXPERTS
More than 20 years of engineering experience across power system analysis, stability and grid integration.
Advanced EMT and RMS simulation capabilities for complex and inverter-dominated power systems.
Strong technical understanding of converter-based technologies and their interaction with the grid.
Practical understanding of grid requirements, technical standards and project environments across the GCC.
Independent engineering advice focused on technical performance and project requirements rather than technology or equipment preference.
07 / SECTORS WE SERVE
We support stakeholders across the power value chain as the grid becomes more distributed, converter-based and dynamically complex.
08 / ENGAGEMENT MODELS
From a single focused study to ongoing technical representation, engagements are tailored to the stage and risk profile of your project.
End-to-end analysis, modelling and reporting for a defined technical objective.
Peer review and second opinion on studies produced by another consultant.
Benchmarking and quality assurance of RMS and EMT models before submission.
Ongoing technical representation to protect the owner's interests through delivery.
On-call expert support for teams that need specialist capability as required.
09 / FAQ
We cover load flow and short-circuit analysis, contingency and dynamic stability, grid connection and grid code compliance, power quality and harmonics, renewable and BESS integration, and detailed EMT and RMS simulation for converter-dominated systems.
Both. We can develop independent RMS and EMT models from equipment data, review and improve user- or OEM-supplied models, or validate models against measured or test data — whichever best serves the study objective.
Our core toolset includes PSCAD/EMTDC, PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, RTDS and MATLAB/Simulink, complemented by PSS®SINCAL, ETAP and PowerWorld where appropriate.
Yes. Independent review and second-opinion work is a core service — we assess methodology, assumptions, modelling and conclusions, and report our findings clearly.
Typically: single-line diagrams, network and equipment data, operating scenarios, applicable standards or grid code requirements, and any existing models or study reports. We will confirm the exact inputs during scoping.
All project data is treated as confidential and handled under NDA where required. Models, data and reports remain the property of the client.
We are based in the United Arab Emirates and work across the GCC and wider Middle East, with remote collaboration for clients in other regions.
Timelines depend on scope and data availability — a focused study may take a few weeks, while larger integration or EMT studies run longer. We agree a clear schedule and milestones at the start.
